Global Engagement

 
Here are the instructions on how to apply for a course:

1. Go to the Global Engagement website at passport.lagrange.edu. 
2. Search for May Away courses by clicking on Programs in the top, left-hand corner of the Global Engagement home page.
3. That will take you to the "Search" page.
4. Click on "Term" and select May Away and then search.
5. You will get a list of all the LaGrange College courses offered during one of that term.
6. Click on the titles and that will take you to the course brochure page for a course description, area of study, cost, eligibility, budget sheet, passport information, important dates and deadlines.

Once you decide which May Away study away course you want to apply for, all you do is click the "apply now" button for that course, and log on with your LC username and password.  You will need to follow the instructions on how to complete the following pre-decision application forms:

• Faculty-led study away course application that includes two essay questions.
• Sign the FERPA form.
• Print off the Instructor Interview form in your application and schedule a meeting with one of the faculty leaders leading the course.  The instructor must sign this form to verify you have met and discussed the course and its requirements with them.  Once that is completed, you are responsible for scanning and uploading the signed form into your application.  Instructions on how to do this are printed in your online application—click on the title of the form.
• Once all the application forms have been completed, click “Submit” at the top of the application.  October 15 is the deadline for receiving completed applications for May Away.  

Here are the instructions on how to apply for a Travel Voucher or a Travel Scholarship for Transfer Students:

1. Go to passport.lagrange.edu and click on "Programs" which will take you to the program "Search" page once again.
2. Click on "Show" and select Scholarships and then search.
3. You will see two applications:  Travel Voucher Request and Travel Scholarship for Transfer Students.
4. Click on either the voucher or scholarship and that will take you to the brochure page which lists the criteria you must meet to be eligible to apply.
5. The deadline for submitting applications is  October 15.  No further applications will be accepted after that date.

Incomplete applications will not be approved.
You will be notified by email the week of October 25th letting you know if your applications have been approved.  If approved for your course, you will need to make a $500 deposit by November 15 and begin the post decision application phase by completing the required travel forms and documents.  

***The deposit is included in the cost of the course, it is not a separate fee.  Please know that funds from the Travel Voucher or Travel Scholarship cannot be used to pay the deposit.
